I like F&T, but i don't like this - it's like a mix of French Carotte & Seville.

For this one alone, the list on Sheffield Exchange is quite tight-lipped. The only description of the scenting offered is "# CR325 Flavor Secret". It is left to the taker to guess. One thing for sure, and that is that this is the king of the F&T range in my view. The scent brings the most euphoric sensation, more so than any of the others. It is a perfumed floral - no question about that part. It does not have that same attribute of 'soapy' or 'old lady perfume' type effect that so many snufftakers hate in floral snuffs. It does not have the rose and lemon character of the much inferior Wilsons snuff of the same name. I think the below reviewer that thought it had some neroli oil may be on to something. It does share some of the qualities of Seville. I think it may have some tonquin which is counterbalancing the florals and keeping them from making this into a soapy scent. The whole feeling of this snuff in the nose is quite regal. My top pick from F&T. Outstanding!

This F&T falls a bit out of line, as it´s not as long lasting as the rest of the range and it´s also not as intense. Far from being a bad thing, just a bit different. To me the floral flavour is not dominating. It´s rather a well balanced mixture of darker flavours: sandalwood, musk and a lighter floral, geranium possibly. The mixture is very well done, so the impression doesn´t lean too much in one direction. Nearly no burn at all, easy to take. Moisture on the moister side of medium and it stays perfectly where it belongs. But it lacks a bit in nicotine, if I use it exclusively.

The grind is medium, but it has a powdery, soft feel, almost like a moister High & Dry. The taste is its own, very floral and almost herbaceous, and lacking in the 'soapiness' of some other perfumed snuffs. It doesn't last as long in the nose as many others from F&T, but while the flavour lasts it's very pleasant and uplifting. Probably on of the most mild, inoffensive snuffs you can get from F&T due to their often pungent, lingering flavours that can last hours if you take enough.

Medium brown, medium moisture, medium ground, and easy to take with little burn. This version of Morlaix is heavily perfumed and flavoured with geranium and perhaps Neroli Oil (it shares some of the character of their Seville); there is none of the citrus and rose characters of the Wilsons example. As is usual with an F&T snuff, the aromas linger for a long time, with hints of strawberry appearing later on. The tobacco base is excellent, whilst nicotine levels are modest. Too perfumed for all day use perhaps, but rewarding as an occasional treat. 9/10.

I find the geranium scent in Morlaix to be quite strong but it is nicely offset by various other flavourings. There is a touch of perfume in there and something in the background which is almost earthy. The flavour, while quite long lasting, does not linger as long as it does with some F&T snuffs but this is no problem at all. Mid brown in colour and medium in grind and moisture level, like most F&T snuffs Morlaix is easy to take and very rewarding.

I'm not sure why the last reviewer classed this as a menthol, because it's about as far from menthol as one could possibly get. This is an unashamedly perfumed snuff. It has a slight sting to it to it that fades to a sweet violet scent that lingers nicely in the nose for some time. There are other flavours in there that I can't quite distinguish (geranium?), but baby powder and parma violets is not a bad comparison. Even though it's a modern blend, I can imagine this as a Regency era scent, popular with dandies and ladies. F&T sure know how to make snuff - and their tins are simply the best looking I've ever seen!

I don't like the menthol snuffs, but this gave me the immediate freshness without the coldness of the menthols. Was quite perfumed, but not unpleasant. Nicotine better than average and not irritable, so easy to keep stuffing it in there! Went through geraniums and parma violets to eventually my mothers underwear drawer after about 10-mins. And nothing wrong with that! Could take this all day.
