Reddish brown, finely ground, quite moist and fluffy, and easy on the nose, this snuff definitely falls into the occasional pinch category. Whilst the Jockey Club from Wilsons of Sharrow is spicy and floral with a gentlemanly scent, this blend lacks the spice, but is laced with a lady-like perfume that becomes tiresome with extended use. It reminds me very much of the talcum powder my grandmother used, which may put people off. I like floral and perfumed snuffs myself, such as the Otterhound blend, but despite the perfume being complex, it is overpowering, unbalanced and one-dimensional. The Wilsons version wins hands down. 4/10.

I read a lot about Jockey Club and eventually decided I must try it. What a disappointment!! I thought it would be a man's snuff. But this is a floral concoction which I would never link to any club and surely not a jockey club!! Even after I blended in some other snuff, the "flowers" still remained. Not for me!!!

Medium moisture, fine grind and medium brown with a strong and complex perfumed flavour.
