Reviews for Bespoke Christmas Joy

This snuff seems to use the same base as most of the other Bespoke snuffs. Its sort of a medium moist and the grind is medium fine. This, G&T, Stephan's, Real Coffee, all have a characteristic chocolatey, velvety softness to them. So, it gets three stars just for having a very good base! The fourth star bumping this snuff up to "Very Good" comes from the clever blend of spices that have indeed captured that Christmas feeling. Other reviewers have pointed out already the cinnamon, cloves and citrus notes. There may be a bit of nutmeg, allspice, and ginger in there as well. It's difficult to pin down but it makes for a very nice blend. The closest comparable snuff out there is Toque's Christmas Pudding. That one is slightly better than this, but they are different enough to be interesting seprately. Usually only seasonally available, so stock up when you can.

Enjoyable and satisfying snuff, but not very memorable. It has a burn to it, but it is reasonable. It required me to concentrate on its label to distinguish its flavor. I finished the container relatively fast and could not nail it down. I enjoyed it and I will be happy to keep trying.

This is quite a fine and dry snuff but with a decent nicotine level. The flavouring is definitely seasonal - I can detect cloves, cinnamon and citrus (orange/lemon peel) in there. Good for those special occasions but I think I would find it a little too spicy for all day use.

I was slightly disappointed with this one. Not that its a bad blend but I had already gone to the extent of making my own Christmas mix with Toque Peppermint, St. Clement's, Menthol, and a teeny dash of clove powder. I guess the juxtaposition wrecked my experience. I found the Bespoke to be somewhat thick and clogging at first on its own. However, I did mix it with some Wilson's Super Menthol and it seemed to bring out more of the flavor for me. I got a taste of fresh baked gingerbread which was very nice minus the clogging factor. Overall, not a bad mix but an example of how preconception can alter one's experience. I wouldn't turn down a free bag by any means but for that Christmas taste I'll stick with my homemade mix.

Nicely done mixture of traditional Holiday spice and flavor in a fine and easy to sniff blend. It's difficult to properly express how such a complex melee comes across so simply and enjoyable. The soft pleasant feel of the mix and warm flavors round the experience out and add a feel of relaxation and content. This is a special snuff and it's plain to see why the excitement over it's seasonal release. This is the first year I've had the pleasure and hopefully not the last. I'm glad I stocked up a bit too, Christmas Joy will fit nicely into any special occasion.

Not quite what I expected, this snuff was nonetheless very good. I was expecting more cloves and sweet spices. What I found was a spicy citrus flavor layered over moist tobacco which gave off a hint of dark chocolate and leather. I enjoyed this hearty snuff, but I don't really associate the flavor with Christmas.

I just want to counter Wrinkled Weasle's review. It is actually a sign that the snuff is fresh. The fresher it is, the longer it takes to air out. It just shows that Bespoke recently produced a new batch and he was lucky enough to get a very fresh sample. If you get fresh batches from Wilson's or Toque you'll get the same ammonia.

This reeked of ammonia, even after several hours "airing". All the other supposed aromas were masked by it. Christmas would not be very joyful if I was stuck with this. Update: Badbusinessman's "counter" to my review. I am a newcomer to this but I am aware of the ammonia situation. My guess is, by the time I have aired Christmas Joy for as long as it takes to get rid of the ammonia, any moisture and other flavours will have gone with it. I have opened fresh tins of other snuffs today, including Toque, and within minutes the ammonia has started to dissipate. I can only say how it affects me. It's personal and unique to my nose. I stick with my original impression.

Very nice and not just for Christmas. Warm and comforting. Great with bourbon.

I love this snuff. It has all the spices that I associate with Christmas plus some eggnog. I also like to mix it 50/50 with Ozona president. It has a healthy nicotine kick which I like sometimes.

Very good snuff. Fine & velvety smooth. Dark baking cocoa powder color. Even mix of clove & cinnamon with a light hint of orange zest that comes out after a few minutes.
