I approached this snuff with some trepidation, having tried and having been less than impressed by the Lotzbeck brand snuffs made by the same company. I shouldn't have worried. While the plastic box is of the same design and the snuff feels similar between the fingers as the Lotzbeck snuffs, the overall effect is quite different. I think this is mainly due to the fact that this is a plain snuff. The snuff is light brown in colour and of a medium-fine, fluffy grind. As soon as you open the flip top box you get a fairly strong plain tobacco aroma, with a leathery, old cigar-like edge. This intensifies on sniffing, and a dash of sweetness also come through. The flavour is surprisingly long lasting. If you like plain snuffs this is definitely one to try and I can think of no others quite like it, except for the Strong Snuff from the same company. My one big complaint is that the flip top of the box broke of the second time I opened the box. Quite a design flaw!

Strangeness! What could one expect from a Virginia Snuff brand? I´d say, that it´s kinda plain, unscented Virginia leaf flavour. This is absolutely not the case here. Well, von Eicken have got quite a reputation for their (mediocre) pipe tobaccos and their (crappy) cigarettes. This snuff delivers the impression, they grinded some of a specific pipe tobacco (2/3 honey and 1/3 vanilla I´d say) a bit and put on a label by chance. Not that it´s a shockingly bad snuff, not at all. But it is just absolutely not something, you could expect from the label. There´s some distinction to the "Honey bee", as before mentioned, but a much softer version. The flavour which (fresh) Virginia leafes deliver is not at all present (like in Toque´s Quit). Hard for me to detect the tobacco flavour behind the casing. I rather smoke pipe tobacco.

Chapman's are not my favorite they all have an odd pipe tobacco scent to them. But of all the Chapman snuffs, this one is my favorite right behind the Cherry. Its a light brown goldish color with medium/fine grind medium moisture. Has a scent that reminds me of Honey Bee.
