This reminds me of those horrible dip/snus brands you get in the US, with pine trees on the side of the can - can't remember the name! In my opinion this is even worse than mentholized snuff, and I gave this snuff away on first occasion! Sorry guys, this one could put me totally off snuff - and I didn't want to risk that *lol* But for some, who like the flavor-wise strange concept of artificial ingredients in their tobacco, this might be a No 1.

Very nice. As reported, smokey, piney, the pine may be the source of some pleasant menthol-y notes. I don't like menthol-y notes, but in this combination, very pleasant. Coarse grind and strong nicotine mean that it can get into your throat and make you un-glad.
Also, the little plastic boxes are a mystery to me.

This is the very first snuff I've tried by this maker and my very first impressions:
Its super super moist, so much so that the first thing I notice is its even harder to snuff than Taxi (which incidentally I did finally master taking Taxi but also the second tin of Taxi I got wasn't nearly as moist as the first). In its super moistness this that I have is like the first super moist Taxi I had, or like NTSU, Babaton, my bottle of Railroad Mills Maccoboy, etc in that way.
I thought I had it satisfactorily sniffed but it fell back out, its taken a few tries.
Right away it makes my nose literally feel quite warm (which is pretty unusual, I can't say I've actually had a snuff do that before), its a very nice feeling but at the same time I wonder if its a sign of risk of future clogging up if I keep taking this snuff for a long time, sniff after sniff.
Not sure I will be sniffing this snuff that way anyway as another unusual thing about it is I really feel its nicotine. (I'm fairly immune and not getting it where you'd expect from the so-called stronger ones but a few surprise me.. this one is now the second one, along with FUBAR Coconut are the two exceptions where I can 'get it' and noticeably so). I got a little dizzy and my heart started thumping, so I'm going to be reviewing and admiring and getting to know this snuff at a slower (perhaps saner then too lol) rate than I usually would.
It has smokey scotch or toast smell in there I like a lot (these, toasts and scotches are my favorite types of snuff)
I have to be honest if I hadn't already read that its pine I am smelling I might not have recognized that's what the other is. Since I have read it before, I can smell that's whats in there, but if I hadn't known I would have sworn it was actually the smell of fresh Christmas trees, some growing and some cut down at a Christmas tree farm.
in fact that's what this reminds me of, its a Christmas memory, especially with the other wood smell, its exactly like going out to the tree farm with your dad, picking out a tree, cutting it down, petting the pet deer (you know the one, they always have at least one pet deer with a red ribbon tied like a bow tie around its neck with a bell on it), then going inside to pay the man for your tree and in there he's got the wood stove going to keep him warm.

Although this is De Kralingse´s most praised snuff, I´ve turned to it as the last of their range. It is a master piece, no doubt. The first sniff is quite overwhelming! The pine/spruce scent is quite heavy, but totally natural. In combination with the nicotine heavy Latakia, this is going straight to the head. Splendid! The grind is much less course than I´d have thought, though this is maybe not standard with this one, the other Latakia based snuffs are much coarser. But that way it doesn´t create the clogging, some coarse snuffs from De Kralingse cause, for me at least. The scent is very long lasting and really delicious, the smokey Latakia and the spruce/pine scent just match perfectly. Unlike the other Latakia based snuffs, the flavouring´s is more present, than the tobacco. No serious snuffer can get around this gem, just has at least to be tried once.

A/P 1860 I never really liked the AO to much and the Orange I had was a bit faded but this A/P does the trick for me. It was the initial scent that I never quite got along with the pine takes care of that nicely. The scent that develops in the nose with all of these Molens De Kralingse Latakias is just superb though, nice heady deep vanilla aromas play of spicy tobacco scents. I think I'll just rehydrate what's leftover of my other two and mix it in with some of this stuff. Thanks again to the snuffhouse members who inspired me to try this one, a definite winner!

Is this tobacco or the soil from a pine-bedded forest? I doubt that I would be able to tell the two apart. That may not be the best endorsement, but I find this to be an excellent snuff. It is so different from other snuffs (for that, it deserves its' own merit). The smell is great- but beware the drip. I have found that taking this from a snuffbox (with a light pinch) serves this latkia the best. A must try!
UPDATE- I have found that mixing a bit of this with HDT (2:1) is really swell. Try it out.

I love all the De Kralingse line but this one is in the top three. Rich dark tobacco with a wonderful scent of fresh pine. A very satisfying snuff.

I am 18 I have only had about 20 different snuffs but this is my absolute favorite. It is refreshing, interesting and a very large amount of nicotine. The pine scent is fantastic and the history of the company is really interesting as well. This one is very highly reviewed and there is not much I can ad that hasnt been already said. Very Good just have good technique or else the drip will cause some problems. If you were to try snuff for the first time I would suggest this, much easier and rewarding for a beginner than W.E. Garrett that was mine. my favorite snuff from my favorite company.

Who would have thought pine goes great with latakia? It's a true marriage made in heaven since latakia is smoked over leaves of some kind. This is the lapsang souchong of snuff. Bro. Paul said it and I didn't even realize it since I came to the same conclusion as he, independently. He hit the nail on the head.
The latakia used in De Kralingse snuffs is top shelf. It's a beautiful and unique snuff that comes in well thought out packaging.
The only downside is all the DeK latakias I've tried have all been very throaty. If you get it too far back- and it's not hard to do, despite the coarse grind, you'll regret it for a long, long time. Have some of your favorite beverage handy.
5 stars for quality, uniqueness, and enjoyment.

A/P is a very strong snuff. I can only take it in small doses, but it is quite good. It is definitely not an all day snuff. If you take too much and a bit ends up in your throat, the taste is absolutely horrendous. Keep it in your nose, and it is great.

This is a strikingly tasty snuff! An astoundingly refreshing pine fragrance that has you at once in a dense forest glade with resinous cones crunching underfoot (rather less romantically perhaps it does also bring recently sanitised public conveniences to mind!). So, taste-wise, it's lovely. The grind, however, I find a bit of a grind: I can't seem to get it up me hooter without getting it straight onto the back of my throat where that powerful taste becomes, I'm afraid, most unpleasant. This is perhaps more of a judgement on my sniffing skills than it is on the snuff itself - but it does mean that I won't be getting another pack of this one, which is a shame, since the fragrance is a marvel and it packs a very hearty kick of nicotine to boot.

The first thing you will notice about this snuff is the scent. Its a very powerful fragrance. That scent is the unmistakable pine scent. Then you will open it and see how clumpy it is. The grind is very course. You will have to have a mighty sniff to get this to go in your nose. I have not had a heavier snuff prior to this. The coursness can become irritating if it gets to your throat, so be careful. Also don't let it dry out, use it fresh or the courseness will be exacerbated.
I believe this is the same base snuff as the Latakia Ao1860, and you will taste some smokiness as well.
So far all of de Kralingse snuffs are recommended but this is a classic flavor that you won't find many other places. In fact to me, so far in my snuffing career, this is very unique.
I give this top marks for uniqueness and tradition.
One recommendation is to keep it well sealed, maybe double sealed away from your other snuffs, as the scent is powerful and may permeate.
What's A/P? Abies/Pinus of course! Latin for Spruce/Pine!

May very well be my favorite DK. Smokiness and evergreen manna. It transports me from the city to a log cabin in a sniff. Nothing mentholated in here, but a nice break from those. Conservative and unique. Highly recommended!

A nice, pinch-able snuff, A/P has a strong scent of pine which rests on a dark, smoky base. Full-bodied and smooth, this blend has just found a place in my regular rotation.

Delicious. Smells like sitting in front of your fireplace next to a Christmas tree. Could not possibly use this regularly myself, but for special occasions it is very nice.

Having enjoyed the 1860 and Oranje previously I'm not yet very sure about the A/P. So far the pine aroma that other reviewers of mentioned rather dulls the lovely latakia base. Rather clumpy to dispense also which the Kralingse snuffs sometimes are. Jury still out!

The Lapsang of snuffs! Wonderful burnt nose to this one, and the hint of pine, which lingers for quite a while. Reminds me of plesant evenings walking through the forest that reaches down to the shores of Loch Morlich every time I take a pinch...

A scent very similar to a pine wood fire while smelling the smoke through fresh cut pine needles. This is a nice snuff that I get in the mood for on occasion.

Latakia tobacco, so smokey flavour with pine undertones. Dark, medium-coarse mill, medium-dry. Strong and very tasty!
