The snuff in the tin I´ve received is only medium moist, but I presume it´s very moist, when fresh. Ok, I see this snuff divides the crowd like Moses the sea a few weeks ago. Some call this bullshit (and it could be taken quite literally...) some love it. Cow dung isn´t too far from the truth, but it´s an excellent natural tobacco flavour in here, only a bit on the stronger side of life. It´s also very strong in nicotine, has to be taken with some pauses in between. But still not as brutal as the Taxi Red. The Blue is starting a stronger secretion which leads to a very good clearing, very effective. Due to the coarseness, there´s no threat to get it too far up, but shoving it up works better than sniffing it, unless you were born with a trunk. Very recommended for lovers of plain snuffs.

I'll just say what I said about Taxi Red. The only real difference is that this has a slightly better flavor and slightly less nicotine. It still packs a whallop, though.
For Taxi Red I said: Judging by the other reviews, this is a love it or hate it snuff. I must say though, that it takes a little getting used to in order to be appreciated.
My first attempts with this were fairly unsuccessful, since I was actually trying to snuff it via the strength of my lungpower. As I am not a vacuum cleaner, I failed. Sometime later, I revisted it and had the idea that I could just shove the pinches in, whith no sniffing involved at all. This worked brilliantly! Then I realised I could get several pinches in at once, then sit back and enjoy a nicotine trip! Doing this once a day made my 25g tin empty very fast!
Some like to air the ammonia out of this, or dry it out or grind it down, but I think all of that just takes away from the power of this one. (Ok, to be fair, I do stir it a bit and let a LITTLE of the ammonia go.)
The flavor, beyond the ammonia, is very barnyard (some might even say dirty horse stalls), but its really a mild flavor and this one is not for flavor anyway. Taxi Blue has a somewhat better flavor, and Ntsu (which is comparable to this) has a stronger nicotine rush, but this is still a 5 star snuff. I was very sad to empty my tin. I will be getting more and keeping myself stocked.
Ok, for Taxi Blue, I got a second (smaller) tin that had sadly dried out. Definately best when moist. Sad to say that I still snuffed it up very fast and need more.
I have been informed by a South African friend, that Gwayi written on the lid means "Tobacco" in Zulu. I hear it is very popular with them.
It should also be noted that Leonard Dingler snuffs have been sold to Phillip Morris from Swedish Match. Hopefullly the quality of this will be maintained.

This is absolutely horrible! Glad I only tried a small tin! It has a distinct smell of a monkey's cave - Zoo like, and the colour and scent when sniffed like Cow dung! Don't do it please!

I will give this one 2 stars like the Rock. I can't place the earthy sort of natural tobacco this has in it. It is better when dried and ground down a bit. Not a favorite with me.
Edit: Snuffster placed that earthy tone for me. I too think it is only bearable as dip.

This snuff has a pleasant tobacco flavor with chocolate hints in there. The one thing that is a major problem is the grind and moisture is such that it falls out of my nose! What gets up there is nice, but the snuff on my shirt is not!

Utterly and completely repulsive as a nasal snuff and just about bearable as a dip. I must be missing the point somewhere with this but it quite literally tastes of..well..Cowshit. Sorry, I don't mean to be offensive, but I couldn't describe it any other way.

Fairly coarse and moist and very powerful on the nicotine. Easy to take and very satisfying.

I love Taxi Blue! It's not just a flavor but an aroma that it sports. Being course, it's easy to snuff, but the tobacco is so soft. When my nose begins to run it runs dark. My wife once asked me if I had a nosebleed. The blow is nice and clean and the aroma remains and is also enjoyed in the lungs. As far as nicotine goes I have decided that there is no need to turn to taxi Red for more. The higher nic of Taxi Red seem to interfere with the flavor factors so it's Taxi Blue for me. This is my morning regular and because I leave it at home I will go strait to it when I get back. I can't wait to try the Taxi Rock too. If it's base is similar to Taxi Blue then it's sure to be a winner!

Taxi blue is a coarse ground snuff with medium to moist moisture, comes in a tiny 12gram round can, those with more experience than me say this is more suitable as a lip tobacco. This has a love it or hate it pungent scent to it,I believe it is processed with ammonia and tends to give off a urine like smell. This can be eliminated if the lid is removed for a while to dry.The afterblow effect can sometimes be reminiscent of a cow pasture, but its really not that offputting. This is pretty heavy on the nicotine and actually buzzed me the first few times I used it.Dont let the above description keep you from trying it,every snuffer should give it a shot!
