My favorite lemon snuff. Includes more zest than others. A bit one noted, but for what it is, it is excellent.

This is really a wonderful snuff. There is nothing "Mild" about the lemon scent here. Its quite strong and is more of a lemon zest flavor, not very tangy or tart. Its also has no hint of sweetness as the Wilson's Lemon Grove does. Many reviews remark about their displeasure with the tap out dispenser. I was fortunate to find this in a 8.75g round tin, which I recommend. Its sharp and strong, but I don't find that to be a problem with any throat issues. As with most McChrystal's snuffs (Hopfen, Supermint, Clove, Anisette), there is a fine nature to the grind and a very strong flavor. No fooling around with these, just good and strong.
It has to tie for gold among Lemon snuffs, since it is not "better" than Lemon Grove, just "different". I will keep both of them in stock. It can easily be used all day, or an occasional treat.

I can't run out of good things to say about this snuff! It's silky fluff, on the finer end of medium, and on the slightly more moist end of medium as well. Mild lemon is right- just enough to give you a wee sip of tart fresh lemons, just like how your hands smell after cutting up a sliver as garnish. It isn't sweet, but the muted-ness of the lemon keeps it from being really bitter. It isn't as tart as their raspberry, just a muted twang amidst smoothness. It isn't just lemon either, the lemon is grounded by what smells like rosemary or some other garden herbs, which gives this blend a savoury touch as well. That makes this a versatile snuff, as it's mild enough to take plenty of, tart enough to reach for when in the mood for something sour, but savoury enough that it doesn't smell boring or flat. This is a snuff worth having in your pocket, as the various notes will cater to the ebb and flow of more than just one mood. While it isn't incredibly tart, it definitely does have a little nasal sting, like being flicked in the nose, however that fades pretty much as soon as you notice it... Though unfortunately, shortly afterward the scent dissipates as well, making this rather moreish. Oh, and the tin... The base of the tin nestles PERFECTLY inside of the cap, so when you take the top off, just stick the bottom right into it like a nesting doll- it sits totally flush, so there's no way to lose the top! If you go 'overboard' with this, not to worry: there is also no disgusting tasting or burning qualities in the drip! I can't find anything negative to say about this one at all, and it's humbly GOOD, so I give it five stars! Happy huffing.

I really can't praise this snuff too highly. Very strong lemon character that blend perfectly with the tobacco, and reminds one of the scent of lemons with just a slight leather undertone that somehow seems to very slightly "sweeten" the lemon without remotely tasting like honey or sugar. The lemon moves forward in the mix after being opened about 24 hours. The initial blast (and it IS a really delightful sensual rush unlike any citrus based snuff I've ever had) subsides rather quickly, but it's subtle remnants linger for a while. Very dry with quite a burn, which I like, but should be taken in small pinches or it will wind up in your throat. Combined with a good weiss beer, it gives unbelievable pleasure. Definitely an "every 15 minutes" snuff. Moderate to slightly below moderate nicotine, which is perfect for me since once I start with this stuff I don't want to stop! A great, great snuff that's one of my all time favorites.

For me, this is one of the most beautiful snuffs I've ever tried. I do not encounter any problems with it hitting my throat and can take huge pinches of it. The taste is like a very special SP and I almost use it daily. The lime flavor is really mild and soft and the base tobacco is superb. No clogging or runny nose, trully a superior snuff. I can recommend it without any doubt

Fine to medium grind, mid brown, and medium moisture. Sampled from the terrible red dispenser which leaks without much provocation, this screams at you with it's inviting zesty, intense lemon aroma. The base tobacco is excellent as always from McChrystals. The intensity of the lemon diminishes quickly, so you tend to keep going back for more. As is common with citrus snuffs, care is need when sniffing to ensure it doesn't fly to the back of the throat. Try mixing with a neutral menthol snuff for a wintertime cold remedy! 8/10.

A very nice zesty lemon flavour to this snuff. Other reviewers are right - it is mild only when taken in small to moderate pinches, anything larger and I get watering eyes and a little sneezy. I haven't tried any other lemon scented snuffs so I can't compare it to anything, but it does what it says on the tin. Or in this case a leaky plastic dispenser, which is why I'm docking it a star. It's a pain having to carry the dispenser around in a ziploc bag.

Haven´t had too many Lemon flavoured snuffs to compare this one with. I guess, some folks own this one in a boxed version, I´ve got the 3,5 g tin. The tin works better on this one, I presume, as the grind is quite fine (not too fine to hit the throat) and the initial lemon-kick is a blast! Too much of it at once ain´t much of a pleasure (a very loud HELLO from the citrus acid...)
Fades just a bit too soon for my taste, compared to the Wilsons Lemon Grove, which doesn´t hit as strong but stays much longer. If you´re keen on citrus / lemon you won´t get past this little gem. The tobacco flavour stays quite in the background all the time, but well, there are other snuffs for that. This is a lemon whip!
My only criticism: this one would deserve a bigger tin.

Quite nice, but the base tobacco flavour is somehow a bit thin. I think this would work better with a courser grind.

This can only be called "Mild" Lemon when taken in small doses. The plastic dispenser will dump out a big pile if you're not careful. If they would put this in the metal tins I think I would enjoy it more. There are a few other Lemon snuffs I choose before this one.

Good lemon flavour though I find the plastic dispenser rather flimsy. It tends to dispense too much at once unless you are very careful.

I did enjoy the lemon flavor although I'm not a big fan on dry snuff's (sneeze factor)

Perfect lemon zest scent with great tobacco underneath. I love McChrystal's dry snuffs. They never get to my lungs even when I'm not careful.

Pleasant enough, but I don't find myself keep going back to it as I do with some other snuffs. A more prolonged trial necessary I think. Haven;t found any problem with the fineness of the snuff.

I had never tried McChrystal's Mild Lemon Snuff. I love Wilsons Lemon Grove. But I have to say McChrystal's ML is Top Shelf. I really enjoyed the smell of lemon and I had not even opened the container. It has a stronger Lemon flavor, but it wasn’t anything I could not handle. I like the tobacco used in making this snuff as well.

Mild Lemon is very very good. Out of the lemons I have tried this is the strongest lemon flavor. It is very dry and fine so you have to be careful. I highly recommend this snuff to anyone who enjoys the scent of lemon and can safely take a snuff this dry.
