Very subtle mint with an earthy nature to it. Indeed very musty, as others mention. That sounds like a bad thing, but it seems to work in this case. I managed to acquire one of these before they were all gone, but I think mine had spoiled a bit before I got it. The box with the cartoon walrus was quite cute.
Apparantly this snuff is owned by J. Brumfit & Radford as indicated on the back of the box, who only had contracted with Pöschl to make it for them. One can always hope they will hire a new snuff mill to revive this.
I would have liked to sampled this one in a fresh state, as I get the feeling I would have liked it a lot more.

Nice tin, but like most of the Poschl range just a bit bland and with no discernable nicotine.

Didn't really get on with this one - it doesn't taste of mint at all to me - just like musty sugar.
At least the box is useful.

Not being over keen on mint or menthol snuffs, the main reason I bought a box of Robby's Top Mint was that I heard it was being withdrawn and I fancied trying it before that happened. I must say I am glad I did, as this is really quite a pleasant snuff, soft and fluffy and with an unusual flavour. The mintiness is quite subdued and a more musty, earthy flavour predominates. Well worth a try I reckon, if only for the neat plastic hinged box it comes in, which seems to be far more snuff proof than most wooden, pewter or silver snuff boxes.

This is an excellent snuff. It's texture is like nothing else I've had, it's almost fluffy, and somewhat reminiscent of brown sugar. Like others have stated, the mint is very very subtle, but it's still there. The rest of the flavor is a mystery to me, it tastes almost warm, if warm can be a taste. It is a very relaxing snuff, and is best taken in extra large pinches. I can use it all day without issue, and it is very forgiving to the inexperienced snuffer. You can sniff as hard as you like without problems. If you are curious about Robby's Top Mint, you really need to give it a try.

Good lord this is GOOD SNUFF! However, I must say, calling it minty is a bit misleading as this smells only very faintly of mint. It is certainly not menthol though. It's very nice to snuff... I would describe it as a delicate, sweet snuff, it comes slightly moist, easy to snuff, but, sneeze factor is quite huge for something that seems so light and delicate. It feels a bit like having a mix of President snuff with Snuffy Weiss, but non of the menthol delights.

I was so impressed with my first 'taste' of this one that I ordered another six tins straight away. Another snuff added to my day-use list.

I think Troutstroker has said it all. If you want to try this snuff, then don't wast much time in getting some as I've heard rumours that it is to be discontinued.

Has a lot of similarities with gletscherprise extra. The snuff is a little gritty like a fine sand when rubbed between fingers. Not real strong on the mint with an added slightly musty smell. The best thing about this one is the container it comes in. Fairly comical walrus on the front of a plastic hinged lid box similar to the classic wood snuff boxes.
