Of Swisher/Helme's range of Scotch snuffs this one has the strongest smoke/charred wood flavors. It also packs a mighty punch. I rank it a five stars, but I still consider Three Thistle to be a bit better. The flavor of this one is the the most pronounced but it lacks the some of the subtle grassy notes that I get in Three Thistle. Still a top notch snuff, and if you like the smoke flavors, this is the extreme of the spectrum from this company.

Perfect grade of smokieness and BBQ flavour, not overdone, but very strong. And the nicotine kick is impressive... phew. For its consistency it´s quite easy to take. Ok, it still is a bone dry powdery scotch, but still, with a little experience it´s not really difficult to enjoy it. It´s also remarkably long lasting. Perfect to satisfy an urgent nicotine craving very quickly. And so tasty!

As for myself I indulge in a few of the sweet snuffs frankly. But the time always calls for a nice, standard dry snuff.I've enjoyed Square Snuff thoroughly for it's basic and strong character and it's easy on your nose.

Probably my favourite American plain scotch snuff at the moment (though tastes have a habit of changing!). I reckon this is the smokiest of the scotches as well as having an impressive amount of nicotine and a satisfying burn, and yet for all that I find Square to be nice and smooth and (relatively) easy to take. Superb!

Square might not be the booster that is Rooster but for an intense smoky goodness it's hard to beat. Fine, dry and typically satisfying as a Scotch should be, this is a go to when I hanker an extra smoky treat. ;) Strong tobacco notes break through, impressive considering the depth of smokiness. This stuff is flat out tasty and packs a pretty decent punch too making for a great all day blend. An added bonus of the Scotch varieties is in making almost any blend bullet-friendly while adding some smoky flavors to boot. Four and a half easy snorts for Square. To think all these great snuffs have been readily available since I was a kid and all I knew was smoke! :/

Oh yes! A five star Scotch! A must have for everyone. You beginners just take your time. It is worth every minute of it. As a mixer? Fantastic idea! I am now obligated to return from the afterlife to take a snuff of Square! As for the past, my whole life has been a preparation for this magic powder.

This is my favorite of the American Scotch snuffs, nice strong BBQ scent and very good nicotene content. I use this one daily, by itself and also as an additive to other snuffs to give them a boost (try mixing it with equal parts Toque Chocolate!). Like most American Scotch snuffs, the fine grind can be tricky for beginners to get the hang of. Definitely a 5 rating, this is one I carry around in a snuffbox daily.

This is a very good scotch type snuff that is heavy on the BBQ/charred oak, probably the strongest bbq of all American snuffs.. Real long lasting scent. Easy on my nose. Dry, fine grind cocoa brown with a light rust tinge.
