Deep, rich, sweet and oh so fruity. Its not as fruity in the nose as the scent from the bag would suggest, but its still very aromatic. As with most (if not all) schmalzlers, you need to load the nose up with copious amounts of the stuff, which is why I imagine they come in such large bags. If you like sweet snuffs, this is definitely one to try. Oh, and to add onto Xander's pineapple thing, I didn't get any pineapple scent while in my house, but using it outside, I definitely picked up on it.

The "Banana Bomb" I love that nickname! This schmalzler takes things one more step into candyland than even the quite sweet Dopplearoma "D". This has the same fruity rich moist sweetness of that one owing to the double fermentation process. This has the addition of some very sweet tropical fruit scents. I'm sure banana and mango are among them. A pineapple is pictured on the package, but I cannot find the individual scent in the snuff. Its just very tropical smelling! The odor is actually less pronounced in the nose as it is when smelling it from the package. I can't see using as much of this one as the other Pöschl scmalzlers, the "D" is as sweet as I'd normally like to go, but it is a very nice sweet treat on occasion.

This was my first Schmalzer and it was quite a bang. Believe me or not, first snuff for me without menthol ever !! Fruity, not too heavy, Schmalzer with nice scent of tropical fruits in your nose with a base of typical Brazil scents.

Maybe Schmalzler are a bit difficult to obtain outside of Germany, but if you´re able to get your hands on them, you just have to try it at least once. It´s quite a different experience to the usual snuff. Although Südfrucht may not be the best Schmalzler around, the heavy fruitiness makes it a very good beginner´s choice. It´s highly delightful, but not at all candy-like. Very, very rich and a bit heavy. Veeeeeery long lasting scent, and it delivers the typical Schmalzler-"satisfaction". You feel very comfortable with this in your nose. Due to the moisture a bit difficult to shift up, but absolutely no danger of it getting too high. You´ll switch to other Schmalzler from here possibly, but you´ll keep one around anytime and for sure, you won´t regret it.

First impression of the scent is that of cheap chewing gum - a very artificial and chemical odeur indeed! But when pinching, the scent becomes much tolerable. Very very very sweet, and not a snuff I could take all day. I do like to pinch from this occasionally, and if you are into sweet scents, this is definitely one to try.

This Schmalzler has been nicknamed the "Banana Bomb" - for a reason. It is heavily flavoured; and comparing the flavour to bubble gum is not completely unjustified... however, that is not necessarily a bad thing. If you can manage to get your hands on a really fresh sample, prepare yourself for a nasal journey to the Caribbean sea. You'll find yourselves experiencing quite a complex and well-balanced mixture of exotic fruits. Südfrucht goes stale pretty fast; after a couple of weeks, you still have one fantastic Schmalzler, with the moisture the way it should be and a great texture, but it's rather lame compared to the fresh item. Fresh or not, Südfrucht is one awesome Schmalzler; I give it four of five stars, and it deserves every single one of them.

Moist, rich and fruity. Quite an amazing snuff! It's certainly a Schmalzler, rich, coarse and moist, but quite unlike any other I have tried. The fruit flavours are tropical ones, mango for one. Others I can't identify.
