Reviews for Wilsons of Sharrow Jasmine

Of the four Jasmine snuffs I have had, this has the most perfumed scent. The Dean Swift is the most similar to this one, but that one has added menthol, and is slightly less pungent. I can't seem to find one that really makes me as happy as smelling jasmine blossoms from my own plant, so perhaps I'll scent my own snuff with them. The scent in this one is really quite potent. Its not as artificial tasting as the QWS variety, but something about it makes it seem unnatural. I know it has its fans, and its clearly a well crafted snuff, like most of Wilson's florals, but it rubs me the wrong way at times. I've found that cutting it with the blander Gawith Hoggarth Jasmin improves them both. Its one to try once, and get maybe once in awhile, but I'll see if home scenting can produce a better Jasmine snuff in the future.

Deep brown, medium grind and medium moisture, this snuff is heavily scented and very easy to take. Compared with the Gawith Hoggarth version, it is more perfumed and reminds me of bubble bath and soap-on-a-rope. Unfortunately, the perfume becomes a bit sickly after a short while and outstays its welcome and masks any evidence of tobacco. Go for the Gawith Hoggarth version instead - it captures the Jasmine aroma better and still has space for the tobacco. 3/10.

It´s amazing how smooth this snuff is, as it was mentioned before. Tobacco´s still present, but the main player is the Jasmine flavour, of course. As this is a wide spread main flavour of women´s perfumes, it might bring back some pleasant memories. Well, at least it did so for me. The scent stays for quite a while, which is allways appreciated. A very good one from Wilsons! Edit: In the long run this one turned out to be too heavily parfumed. You either keep on loving it, or totally get sick of it, as unfortunately, I did.

This snuff is definitely in my top 5 out of my close to 300 snuffs. I loved it when I bought it in 5g tins, but I got a 1/2 pound drum of it today and it is even better. It is the smoothest snuff I have found. You can hardly tell you just took a pinch of snuff when you use it, and the flavor is absolutely amazing. Wilson's Jasmine is a must for anyone who likes floral snuffs.

Medium-fine, medium dry and mid-brown with a fresh floral scent. My wife loves it so the 3 star rating is hers. I'd give it rather less as I find the scent a little too much.

Nice but the scent is too popular with soaps, perfumes, lotions, etc. I keep my floral snuffs in Oriental style bottles. A good addition to my collection but I don't think I will ever run out of the tiny stock I have.
