This is a very complex snuff. I also don't know of anything quite like it from any other company. It seems medium ground, and slightly moister than medium. The color is slightly on the red side of light brown. Slightly sweet, and I suppose almonds is one flavor here, as the other reviewers detect. I think also there must be some tonquin and vanilla. Others get clove, I cannot confirm that, though there is a nice spice in it. Probably a Christmas time spice blend including cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, etc. There may be a hint of citrus. Its realy a tricky one to pick out. Rum, possibly? Just a guess as its really complex. It does makes an excellent dessert snuff. It can become quite congesting if used for an all day, so I keep it around for special treats. I wish it were more readily obtainable. My gratitude to my fellow reviewer who acquired it for me.

A very nice dessert snuff - I can taste almonds definitely, not sure about clove. A bit expensive (as are all the G Smith's blends), but worth having in the collection.

This is quite an intriguing snuff. The grind is fine yet it's quite an easy one to take. The initial impression is of cloves. In fact at first it's hard to detect anything but cloves but then various other flavours creep in, almonds, spices and even a touch of chocolate and coffee. I'm not sure I would want to use this snuff every day but it does make for a tasty after-dinner treat.

A fine snuff with a clove flavour. Its difficult to pin down the exact number of mills involved in making Smiths snuffs - and I have mixed feelings about the company in general - but this is one of the better ones. I have a small glass bottle of this, so a good few years old, and its aged well, but I have no idea how it resembles the current version.
