I must say I'm finding that I am very much enjoying all the Tranter's snuffs that I have bought so far. This one certainly didn't disappoint either. While it is a scented snuff the scent isn't overpowering at all. It's more of a subtle flavour, somewhat reminiscent of Sam Gawith's High Mill No 1 or Wilson's Strasbourg. The grind is medium fine but the snuff is moist enough that it's easy to take and the user risks no "back of the throat" effect. Another plus - as usual with Tranter's snuffs, the tin is packed to the brim. A big plus for this Yorkshireman!

Ole' Freddy does it again!!!
I really enjoyed this blend. a medium brown fine snuff with an aroma that reminds me of 1940's after-shave. It may burn a bit to the un-initiated, but the seasoned sniffer will have no problem. The nicotine content pleased me in a way I have'nt been pleased before. I thought it was on the dry side yet it seemed, to me, to be an easy sniff. I would recomend this blend to all who enjoy a pinch of fine snuff and like to hold their pinky fingers aloft while damning the meek.
You either enjoy the Regency or you stand aside!!!
4 stars!!!!!!

This has what I would call an old fashioned taste and presumably is modelled on the type of snuff favoured by the Prince Regent in the late 1700, early 1800's. A nice one for the collection but an occasional rather than all day sort of snuff for me.

This is probably my favorite Tranter snuff. There is something very soothing with this one. Its a fine grind that is not completely bone dry with a nice rich brown color. Its in my top 10 of all scented snuffs. A definite must try.
