Using Railroad Mills and Navy as the approximate median baseline of Swisher's plain and strong scotches, this is milder in many ways in regards to flavor. It does have a bit more smoke flavor to it than those, but on the whole, the flavor is thinner and the snuff is a little drier. Not bad, and can always be a fall-back for me since I can find it locally.

Fine, dry scotch. I find it to be a little more moist than Rooster, and thus easier to take. It's also not as smoky as Rooster, which some days is just what I'm looking for. Scent lingers for a while, and is a pleasant scotch smell. It's also one of the stronger ones in the nicotine department.

This one´s just a small step ahead of the Navy plain scotch in flavour. The smokieness is slightly stronger, but only barely at a moderate level. Some degree of BBQ is also there. But everything´s a bit toned down flavourwise in this tin. With the very good nic hit this delivers, this could be appealing to some as a not too overpowering, all day scotch, as some too smokey or BBQ like scotches can be just too much in heavy use. Not bad at all.

I find Ralph's rather less satisfying than Square or Railroad Mills Scotches. It's fine in the nicotine department and the grind and moisture levels are as expected but it seems to lack the smokiness I expect. That isn't to say that this is a bad snuff. Far from it! I can happily enjoy Ralph's all day long but sometimes you just want that bit extra.

Another plain Scotch like Railroad Mills. Except for Square, Swisher's Dry Scotch snuffs have not passed the grade for me. Their sweet snuffs are interesting enough. Of coarse never throw out snuff as recommended by the snuff house community. One never knows how tastes change. As dry as these snuffs are I could hide them somewhere like a car, at work, a tool box, you get the idea. There is nothing like finding hidden treasure.

Ralph's scotch is a very similar snuff to Square. Dry, fine grind, cocoa brown with a light rust tinge. The only difference is that Ralph's has a slightly less bbq/charred oak scent too it. Easy on my nose and the scent last a long time. Nice enjoyable scotch snuff
