Nice sweet tobacco with hint towards an almond flavor. this snuff reminds me a lot of the Samuel Gawith Apple snuff without the apple flavor of course. Pleasant enough using it out of the tap box. I was hoping for more of a substantial almond note but it's fine as it is.

A nice snuff indeed, but of the expected almond flavour, there´s nothing to be found in here. That´s really disappointing. Maybe almond is just a too weak flavour to be transported by natural ways of flavouring.
A snuff to be passed imo, there are way too many other snuffs doing their job better than this one.

According to the Samuel Gawith website Special M is flavoured with almonds. I have to say that the almond flavouring is somewhat elusive in this snuff (either that or I have sampled too many different snuffs of late), though with large pinches it is there.
It is a rich orange-brown colour, of medium grind and fairly moist and fluffy, making it very easy to take. The taste is mildly nutty with a hint of almonds.
In spite of the shortage of almond flavour (for which it gets only 3 stars) this is a very nice snuff, more properly deserving of 4 stars.
Worth a try.
