Yellow, bage brown, dry to medium moist and with an inconsistent grind (both fine and coarse, and probably the same tobacco base as the Yellowcrest). An interesting one this. Peppermint, tea tree oil and jasmine are the main aromas I detect, and it reminds me of the dry skin treatment I use. The very sweet, soapy and lingering jasmine flavour overwhelms things too much for me, and although initially inviting, it gets a bit sickly after a while. Very distinctive and alright for an occasional sniff. Nicotine almost non existent for me. 5/10.

Interesting. When dealing with these silly tap containers I usually smell through the open hole as soon as I get a new snuff, even before I look at it or snuff it. The menthol is well hidden. It smells like a more floral version of Princes Gold. The grind is on the finer side of medium and the color is golden brown, again much like Princes Gold. Upon snuffing the menthol reveals itself. The floral character stands up as well, and it continues to remind me of both SP Scotch and Princes Gold. Tonquin and geranium seem to be the scents, but they are slightly overshadowed by the menthol. There could be a hint of coffee as well, as I am also reminded strongly of my friend Pieter Claassen's home made Karoo Stof.
I think I will enjoy this well enough, but not well enough for a second purchase. The menthol is just a litte too strong.

While definitely a perfumed snuff, X-Blend is considerably less less pungent than many in that category. It's medium fine in grind and moist and fluffy enough to make it easy to take, though there is still some good burn to be had. As for the flavour itself, I'm finding it hard to pin down but the word 'boudoir' does spring to mind!
