Reviews for Poschl Gletscher Prise Extra

I don’t know, why this snuff was labelled like this (probably, it’s just another strategic title); the suggested similarities are not detectable. Only grind and moisture refer to the mysterious Columbia-oil scented flagship (but we have to note, that most of the pöschl snuffs are similar in those ways). ‘Extra’ could also mean, that this product could and should be viewed as an autonomous snuff; I would do so to enlighten the shadow … After all, this is a nice mentholated mint snuff (I guess lemon balm is used here).

Toned down version of the Gletscherprise, with less menthol and columbia oil, but instead some spearmint added. Although not entirely bad, this snuff delivers no satisfaction. The spearmint in here is just too lush and the tobacco flavour undetectable. Could appeal to a VERY young audience. The light brown tone of the tobacco is quite unique for a Pöschl. Easy to take, but I had to push myself for additional sniffs.

I would have to say this is 10x better than the regular Gletscher Prise. The menthol is very toned down, almost non-existent. I agree with the earlier review of it being a "warm" mint flavor. I could use it all day without getting clogged up like I do with the original. One of Poschl's best.

A sneezy snuff that clogs me up,and has no noticeable nicotine.

This one has a similar grind/texture/color as Robby's Top Mint, it a medium-fine grind thats almost gritty like fine sand between fingers. It a brown sugar color with a slight golden glow to it. This one to me has what I would call a 'warm mint' scent to it which is nice. Definitely not as 'in your face' as the unique scent of regular gletscherprise. With this the columbia-oil & menthol are more subtle than the original. I do enjoy this one only slightly to Robby's Top Mint.

Seems to have a spearmint flavour (among others) and thus not my favourite. I'm no fan of spearmint.

This is a somewhat lighter version of Gletscherpriese. Less menthol, less columbia oil,but in my opinion it adds the very nice peppermint taste. This snuf is good to be taken from time to time to break the monotony of the heavily mentholated snuff. Light brown, almost yellow colour explaining the name Extra, this snuff is really something extra.

very dry and medium ground. the sister of regular "gletscherprise". the tin design i similar, but everything else is very different. the tobacco is of a very light brownish-grey colour. the scent is of a strange variety of peppermint. and it burns a lot in my nose. clogs my nose. the scent is gone very fast. no nicotine noticed. not recommended.
