Reviews for Toque Grapefruit

Light orange brown in colour, fine to medium grind, medium moist, and sampled from a tin delivered direct from Toque. The aroma is very obviously grapefruit, and it also reminds me of the Kia-Ora squash I used to drink as a child. The snuff is reasonably easy to take, with the occasional refreshing sneeze. This is one of best snuffs Toque produces, and is certainly the best fruit snuff I've tried. Fans of SPs will probably like this one. 9/10.

I really liked this and it smelled nicely of grapefruit.. unfortunately that's all I can tell you and that's from memory since its already quickly since then pretty much lost its grapefruit smell (I have a 10g tin of it I've had maybe a couple of months that really didn't get opened that much and I kept its tin in a sealed baggy, figuring I'd get back to it, but I was too late). Conclusion: A good snuff if you plan to get right on it and use it up right away and I guess don't expect it to keep its grapefruit real long. (also having a bit of this same trouble with the orange-flavored Toques, St Clemens and Toast and Marmalade of the same time and storage)

Toque amazes me again. This really tastes like GrapeFruit Delicious. Same consistency of all the Toque Snuffs. I just bought 5 different flavors of Toque Snuff and am very pleased that the blendings make them different enough not to be boring. Toque has become my favorite brand of snuff. I find it the least clogging and the consistency is fine enough not to clog but thick enough not to go direct to the lungs like the American Snuffs.

You'll not that this is another review that I didn't give a star rating too. The reason, when you get this FRESH- it is FANTASTIC! When it is not fresh, it is similar to Toque Natural or Quit. I've had a difficult time getting a fresh tin of this. Only one out of three 10g tins was fresh! You'll know when you don't get a fresh tin, there is NO GRAPEFRUIT FLAVOR WHATSOEVER!!!! This sucks! After reading so many good reviews here, I was expecting quality from my very first sniff... not my third tin. Sorry Roderick, IMO, you've got a quality control issue with this one!

You´re very dependend on the freshness of this snuff it seems. If the tin´s not entirely closed or sitting too long at the retailer, it seems to lose the citrus sharpness. My tin of Toque Grapefruit is rather a (very good) SP variant. As the Toque base tobacco is superb, this is by no means a "lost" snuff, it´s still delicious, but I guess I´ll order this one directly from Toque, the next time. EDIT: Received it directly from Toque this time, and it´s even more divine than I´d have imagined. Not SP-ish like it becomes, when then tin´s not tightly closed, but really a strong Grapefruit scented snuff, just as I´d imagined it to be. Strange that it might transform the beforementioned way, if let. A favourite!

Crikey, this is the most moreish snuff I've ever come across! I was dubious that grapefruit and tobacco would work at all well together but they really do - and in the most delightfully complementary way. I wholeheartedly echo the review below: with 10g in front of me I certainly wish I'd gone for the bigger tin. It's great as it is, but this particular flavour and aroma has the refreshing briskness that would sit, I'd say, very nicely with the finer grind of a toast (like Toast & Marmalade) if Toque was ever so inclined to expand their already remarkable range. An easy five stars, this one: yum!

Did you ever have a grapefruit for breakfast? When you were slicing it or sectioning it, did it squirt and shoot someplace it shouldn't? Like your eye, or maybe....your nose? Now you know what you will get with this snuff! Toque has once again masterfully managed to make a snuff taste almost identical to a fruit. As a citrus snuff lover, this one was a delight to me. Of all the Toque fruit flavors only Pomegranate is better. It has the same grind and texture as most of the other Toque offerings but a bit moister (must be all that grapefruit juice). Pungent, refreshing, and uplifting. The only downside is that it will get a bit "throaty" if you are not careful.

Same grind as the two other toque's I have sampled which is great. I love eating grapefruit the juicy goodness gets all over and makesmy mouth nearly raw with the citric acid. Mmmm anyhow this would have to really suck for me not to like it alot. I have used this all day a couple times I would order this again.

This is, so far, my favorite offering from Toque. I find a slightly higher burn that the other Toques, but I find it at the same time very enjoyable. Interestingly refreshing and somehow complex, with a quality tobacco base. I find the grapefruit flavor sweet, not bitter. Easily an all day snuff for me. Highly recommended.

I really took a liking to this blend. However, unlike the other reviwers I didn't get much of a grapefruit scent from my batch. What I did get tho was a lovely citrus based SP taste. For me, this is a great stand in when you run out of Toque Original or Best SP. The tobacco base is sturdy enough to hold its own whether you detect grapefruit or not.

Another surprising offering from Toque. The bright acidic grapefruit flavor contrasts perfectly with the mellowness of Toques base tobacco. This flavor, as all other Toque blends, excels not only in the delicious tobacco used but also in the most natural tasting flavorings. Toque's Grapefruit makes for a great day-long sniff and is mild enough to do some serious indulging without fear of palpitations. This one, along with the Peanut Butter blend, were two of the main attractions that spiked my curiousity about Toque in the first place.

Nice and mild. More Toque goodness! Although I would have preferred other fruit flavors. Grapefruit is a fine choice as well. The tobacco shines through with this scent just as expected.

This is a delicious, clean, fruity snuff with a superb tobacco foundation. It's like smoking a grapefruit cigar if that makes any sense. Ground fine/medium, moisture a touch below medium. A wonderful, fresh sensation and a nice blow. 5 stars.

What an amazing experience! Opening the tin is like cutting into a fresh grapefruit. The flavour grabs you straight away. There is no disappointment on taking a pinch either. The flavour starts strong with the initial rush fading gradually. Even quite some time after that initial rush I find I get little reprises of the taste. Most enjoyable. The grind is medium-fine, the colour is a medium brown and the moisture level is medium-dry. A satisfying burn and a decent level of nicotine. Very easy to take and hard to resist taking more and more! I should have gone for the 25g tin rather than a 10g one!

This is a great citrus snuff. Upon first snuff you immediately think your digging your spoon into a fresh grapefruit. This snuff sits light in the nose & gives a nice little tingle which fades quickly and your left with just a nicely balanced grapefruit tone. This is a great snuff to wake up with and can be enjoyed all day.

The strength of the Toque brand is in the quite unique way that the snuffs are flavoured. With some brands you almost have to play a guessing game as to what the flavour is or your senses are suffused with something that smells like its come out of a chemists lab rather than a snuff blenders imagination. Toque grapefruit tastes just like...grapfruit, really tastes like grapefruit, and behind that is the typically well balanced and satisfying Toque base snuff. A lovely, refreshing snuff and a great pick me up.

I'm not sure how he does it, but Roderick definitely knows how to flavor snuffs. This is the typical grind and consistancy and color that we have become accustomed to from Toque. Also unlike many other companies fruit snuffs, these contain no menthol. The grapefruit smells indeed like a freshly cut grapefruit. The thing I like the most about not only this flavor but all the fruit snuffs by Toque is the natural scent of the fruits. Nothing chemical or artificial like some of the other fruit snuffs I have tried. The fruit smell hits you first, followed by the mellow Toque tobacco goodness. A nice lingering lasting a few minutes of the grapefruit, a subtle yet constant presence should keep you happy for awhile. 5 stars. I can see this tin running out quickly.
