Although this snuff doesn´t taste like plain tobacco, Frederick Tranter claim, they don´t add flavours to this snuff. Maybe the impression that there´s more in here just derives from how the tobacco´s processed. Not a very spectacular flavour that is, rather boring. Doesn´t leave me wanting for more.

Classic English snuff with a deep, traditional type flavouring. I don't know if this is based on something that Beau Nash used but I can imagine this being taken from a silver snuff box by some 18th century fop. A very good snuff indeed.

To put it simply this is a classic English snuff! It's coarse, moist and a very dark brown and just begs to be shovelled up the nose by the bucket. The burn is minimal but it has a decent nicotine level anyway. Tranter's say there is no flavouring though I seem to detect a hint of something, just as I do in the rather similar Brunswick from Wilson's. First class and highly recommended.
