Very dark and extremely moist. My tin shows signs of corrossion, but still can be opened easily. Frederick Tranter claim this, like the Beau Nash, to be without additional flavourings, but I´m sure they made a mistake on their site. There is something pronounced floral in the mix and also a citric scent, that endures for quite a long time after sniffing. There´s even a slight maltiness. Quite delightful.

Plain, with a little hint of something sweet. There is something, however, that I often get with Tranter's which is a kind of nasal irritation or sneeziness that is not usual. This does it for me so spoils it a touch.

Just plain, dark, rich tobacco and very, very nice. My nose seems to detect the faintest of floral hints, or it could just be down to the way the tobacco has been prepared. Each large pinch comes with the gentlest of burns and the overall effect is very satisfying. It also has a nice cleansing effect, clearing the nose. No chance of a clogged up nose with this one.
