Of USST's three Scotch snuffs, this is the one I would pick as a keeper. The flavor is significantly more toned down than in Rooster, and much less bitter than Bruton. The USSTs in general are signifanctly moister than Conwood's (American) and generally moister than Swisher's (Helme). Standard is the moistest of the three compared here and is the easiest to take. Be mindful, its still a scotch and quite dry. The moistness comparisons are all relative! Even though it is less flavorful than Rooster, it has s bit more of a nicotine punch, but significantly less than Bruton. A good scotch and a keeper! (But I may keep Rooster around too!)

Ordered this on a whim. Nicotine level was appealing. Received my order of several highly recommended flavored English snuffs this morning and was very anxious to try them. I opened the Standard first and haven't put it down. It is a beautiful plain tobacco snuff with NO BBQ flavor which I just can't take. I've used some sweet Scotchs I like very much but this is the first straight I've fallen for big time. I haven't concentrated on finding flavor characteristics and I'm sure subtle flavors are there but I can't get beyond the relaxing aspect. Clean, dry, powerful and easy to take. If the BBQ flavor of Scotch puts you off, this is for you.

A prime example of a high class scotch. As mentioned before, the flavour is very rounded, delightful grade of smokieness, strong but not too strong. The first scotch where I´d say, yes, this could be an all day snuff. It delivers quite of a nic hit. Some experience needed at taking, but a little bit more forgiving than the Rooster, if sniffed a tat too hard. One, I´d always buy again.

This stuff is somewhat weird, I really like it thought. for a scotch I find it VERY MOIST. maby a bum tin but i hope not it makes it much easier to take, still will hit the back of the throat if not carefull but much easier than say square to take. Immediate gratification reguarding the nicotine. This one really stands out in my mind as different. I will pick up another tin when mine runs out. Try it for a different vareation on a scotch

I'm very glad I was able to get my hands on a can of Standard, which is said to be hard to find. This is a good all rounder of a scotch, plainer than some in that the level of smokiness is rather less than in many scotches, but none the worse for that. It is really quite smooth with less of the eyeball scrunching that comes with some scotches when they are over-enthusiastically sniffed. The reduced smokiness does allow one to appreciate the tobacco more and this is really rather good. Standard is just as fine and dry as other scotches but has enough of a difference in flavour to make it worth seeking out.

A full bodied Scotch without the BBQ distraction. Very flavorful, nice and strong aroma. This snuff officially makes me a Scotch lover. Smooth, I say, much smoother than the Brutons sharp hit. Tasty too. I haven't once spit, but always swallow the mild tasting drip. US Smokeless has some good tobacco!
