The problem with having a massive range of snuff is that some of them are contrived almost for the sake of it. I just found this vaguely unpleasant.

I was really looking forward to trying this one, primarily because I love cheese and thought that Port & Cheese would be as a great combination in snuff as it is in real life, so I was very disappointed in what I encountered. I don't get any cheese flavour at all. None whatsoever. It's as if I have tried a different snuff to everyone else. It tastes sweet, so I suppose that would be the wine, but to me it is indistinguishable from the Brandy Maple. I suppose I might have got a mislabelled container - I hope so. Until I find out for sure, this snuff gets no stars from me, I'm afraid.

OK, here's the bottom line. You have to be in the right frame of mind when you use this one. This is NOT an all day snuff; however, I found it very nice when I eat wine and cheese. Eating different cheeses and drinking different wines with this, to me, changes the flavor! It's almost like mixing different types of snuff. You need to keep an open mind when first trying this snuff. It's not for everyone, but well worth a try for the gourmet.

Finely ground, quite fluffy and of medium moisture, this snuff is a true abomination in my opinion. The wine flavour is masked by a sweaty, vomit-like, fake parmesan flavour that had me running for the saline nasal cleaning solution. If you want port/wine and cheese, you'd be better off eating and drinking cheese and wine (and accompany it with a quality plain snuff). I frankly feel these Dholakia food flavoured snuffs are contrived rubbish that belong in the bin. 0/10.

Wine and Cheese was an interesting label that invited me to try this snuff in the spirit of experiencing snuff flavor diversity. I experienced the same base tobacco flavor as in F.U.B.A.R and Quit with Snuff. It is easy to take (like those) and it offers little-to-none nose bite. I can taste the wine lingering and developing in flavor for a few minutes. The cheese is not prevalent but appears to me every now and then as a nice complement to the former.

I have to say I approached this one with some trepidation. The idea of flavouring snuff with cheese just seemed a little strange. Wine? Yes, certainly, and the port wine flavouring in this snuff is deep and distinctive. And then that gentle background of ripe Stilton insinuates itself into the olfactory senses. Oh yes, that works! The wine flavour disappears fairly quickly but I find that I get reprises of the cheese, most pleasantly, for quite some time after indulging. The snuff is of a fine to medium grind but quite fluffy and moist, so is easy on the nose. This has to be the perfect after dinner snuff. It goes perfectly after dinner, with port and Stilton of course
