I was surprised to find that this snuff is rather darker than most SPs as well as being coarser in grind than many. The bergamot flavouring is relatively subdued as well, allowing one to concentrate on the tobacco, which really is excellent. The overall effect has more in common with Gawith Hoggarth's SP than Wilson's Best SP, even though this snuff is made by the latter company. No run of the mill SP, this snuff deserves a wider audience I think.
