Reviews for Dholakia Temptation Orange Chocolate

Everyone else seems to be reviewing this snuff today, figured I might as well throw in my two cents! In a nutshell, I'd describe this as "Dholakia Swiss Chocolate meets Toque Toast & Marmalade, without the staying power of the former or the toasted wonderfulness of the latter". A lot of Dholakia's "American" lines suffer from weak flavor profiles - who could forget Cola Champagne or Whiskey Honey (besides, you know, anyone who's just snuffed some)? This one isn't quite so bad, but it tends to practically vanish after a minute in the nose, with a more subtle after-smell than is typical with, say, the average F&T. The aftersmell comes and goes, and with a suitably runny nose (helllllllll-o, Hedges L260!) and the proper sort of breathing, the scent will drift back from time to time. Interestingly, this is one of those snuffs that smells very different in the container than it does in the nose - in the container, I pick up more of the orange, with the chocolate more a subtle undercurrent. Once up the ol' honker, though, it's the opposite - Swiss Chocolate from start to finish. It's not quite as intense as Swiss Chocolate, though, and doesn't last nearly as long. Certainly not a bad snuff, just not one for the "top shelf".

I enjoy this one very much. It has a creamy chocolate base with just a hint of orange. I enjoy this one as a treat when just the Swiss Chocolate would be too indulgent. It is a masterful blend and keeps me coming back for more.

Dholakia´s offering a variant of their swiss chocolate snuff here and how could that possibly fail? The swiss chocolate is clearly top notch and the orange chocolate is a superb summer snuff. The orange flavour hits hard and fast and lingers a few moments before it is passed by the delightfull chocolate. Top quality here.

While Wilson's Chocolate Orange snuff is definitely the milk chocolate type, the Dholakia version is most certainly the plain chocolate one. It still feels like shoving a Terry's Chocolate Orange up your nose though this way has to be healthier. Maybe! Usual mediums on grind and moisture though the colour is a little darker than many, originating I'm sure in the Swiss Chocolate snuff that must be used in this blend. Excellent snuff!

OK, if you've been following my reviews, you know by now that I love both Chocolate and Orange. With this one, you get the BEST of both worlds. Very easy to take and yummy as well, I am in love with this. Some of my friends are chocoholic's and prefer to add just a touch of Dholakia's Swiss to this... they, IMO, are crazy. I keep a bullet of this one with me at all times. What more can I say?

Temptation Orange Chocolate Snuff. This snuff is a pure joy. Excellent grind and moisture make this an easy all day snuff, for beginner and old timers alike. But what really counts is the flavor, and it is wonderful. This is very much better than the Wilsons variant of these two combined flavors, and theirs is not bad at all. This has the same rich chocolate as the Dholakia Swiss Chocolate, so if you like that, you will surely like this. Good nose burn, flavor lingers well. Nice orange high note on a base of chocolate pleasure. Excellent on all counts.

The swiss chocolate lovers will enjoy this, same chocolate flavour with a marmalade like citrus note. A real candy snuff in all senses.
