Been quite some time I´ve tried Snuff Store´s Licorice snuff, but this one here immediately brought back the memory. Somehow I even get a faint scent of Licorice here. Odd. Well, the Menthol is by far not as strong, as the name would suggest, but it is there. Only you rather feel than taste the Menthol and even the feel is a lot milder than that of any other strong mentholized snuff. Maybe this is due to the rich tobacco flavour, which is very dominating. Slightly peaty (good) but also, for lack of a better term: soapy... somehow. It´s tolerable, even pleasant for the better half of the course, but after a few dozen of pinches I barely could take the taste of this anymore. The tobacco´s got that -for me- typical Bespoke burning and doesn´t start any secretion. I prefer the Snuff Store´s Café Noir snuff anytime.

Strong Menthol? They could have called it "No Menthol" and I probably would not have questioned it. They could have even called it "Licorice" or "SP" as all of the recent offerings from Snuff Store have been rather monotone. I suppose the coffee one worked out well, but this was rather plain.
I can taste menthol in little spurts upon repeated snuffing, which tells me it was not blended very well. The tobacco base is pretty tasty so no complaints there. In fact, I give it three stars for having a good base.
I vote they drop this and bring back Blender's Bundle. That one was first class.

Chocolate brown, medium grind and medium moisture, this snuff stands out from the other menthols out there by the strength of the tobacco flavour. The menthol levels are not strong, allowing extended use, but the leathery, nutty tobacco aromas and level of initial nose burn are. In a way it reminds me of a mentholated Gawith Hoggarth Kendal Brown which is perhaps slightly incongruous. I suspect Bespoke make this for Snuff Store UK, judging by the tobacco base. 6/10.

I was a little apprehensive about this snuff as generally I avoid mentholated snuffs with only a few exceptions and the more strongly mentholated snuffs I don't use at all. I shouldn't have worried. In spite of the name I do not find the level of menthol in this snuff to be too strong at all. Indeed it is quite mild, which is good, as it allows the excellence of the tobacco to shine through. Of medium grind and moisture, this is a good all day snuff and well worth a try.
