The licorice in this is almost un-noticeble. There are not many licorice snuffs on the market (though no shortage of Anise ones). I'm not sure why that is, but this is not the one to begin the Licorice Revolution with. The base snuff is good. Its rich and medium moist and looks like the same base of the other Snuff Store blends. It can get someone congesting as its rather clumpy. Perhaps all the licorice juices make it clump. Inoffensive to a licorce hater, but humdrum to a licorice lover.

Strait flue cured tobacco with licorice powder added, That's what it is like. Good tobacco, and I like licorice powder but there is something missing here. It's almost as if some pressing and steaming needs to be done to interject the licorice or something. Or it may be that I am spoiled by all the other so called "licorice" that have anise or other modifiers. I'm thinking that real licorice might be better served by a lighter choice of tobacco.
Smells of good flue cured leaf and fresh ground licorice root. Leathery with sweet woody hints. But the tobacco and the licorice do not seem to mingle. It seems neither influences the other. They are still both there, but separate. Of course I have been spoiled by the Blenders Bundle snuff so I will have to take a less influenced look if that's possible.

Deeep brown, medium grind and moist, this snuff seems to have the same base tobacco as the other Snuff Store varieties. Very easy to take, with little burn and no sneeziness, the predominate flavour is a leathery, slightly soapy tobacco and a whiff of peat. I only noticed the liquorice when I got a pleasant sweet drip from my sinuses. A good snuff (if a little clogging), but not really one I would ever crave. 6/10.

I´m by no means a fan of liquorice, but the smell ain´t the worst in the world, either. Well, the sample bag I´ve received is indeed quite delightfull upon opening. Smells quite good! But unfortunately, this flavour doesn´t develope once in my nose at all. It´s got the slightest charcoal scent and a slight sweetness, but it´s by far not as good as in the bag. The tobacco isn´t that strong, either. Sorry, not my thing.

Rats! The system logged me out as I was writing the review, so here it is under my moniker! I have to admit that liquorice isn't one of my favourite flavours, but having said that this is by no means a bad snuff and is all the better for not being mentholated. In fact I don't know of any other non-mentholated liquorice flavoured snuff on the market today. For that reason alone this blend will find no shortage of takers. The grind and moisture levels are medium and the snuff is mid-brown in colour.
