The texture here is quite moist and a bit sticky, and the color is orange brown. The scent is strongly sandalwood, but it is balanced by the sweetness of it. This is by no means for everyone, but it is rather different among the Wilsons range. The scent lasts and lasts (perhaps too long). I do enjoy this, but I really have to be in the right mood for it. I prefer the Fribourg & Treyer version to this one, as its less sticky-sweet. This does give the impression of antiquity, though, as others have suggested. Very Victorian!

The flavouring´s just too over the top. The sandalwood scent stays with you for the rest of the day and overshadows everything you might take afterwards. It´s not a cheap flavour by far, but it´s just too heavy and too soapy to be pleasant for hours and hours. If someone´s really a sandalwood lover and likes his snuff to be enduring beyond the grave, there´s no way around this snuff. It is quite easy to take, but hard to get rid of.

It smells like baby powder. It's not actually bad. In fact it's quite refreshing to the nose.

Golden orange brown in colour, finely ground, quite moist and fluffy. Very easy to take with no burn or sneeziness. Has a very distinctive and overpowering sandlewood scent that reminds me of traditional barber shops and old fashioned gentlemens' scent. Quite sweet and not as spicy or interesting as the Fribourg and Treyer version. The scent lingers a long time, in fact it out stays its welcome and obliterates the aroma of anything else. Nicotine level low compared with other Wilsons snuff. Don't attempt to use it in a snuff bullet as it will just clog up with boulders of moist snuff.

Before I got into snuff I don't think there is any way I would like something that smells like this. It is highly perfumed, yet somewhat sweet. For being such a fine grind it is surprisingly easy to take, and doesn't end up in the back of my throat very often. It is probably not for everybody, but if you like it you'll probably love it. Someday I will have to try the F&T version, so I can compare the two.

Sweet, medium-fine, medium moist and very pleasantly scented. Nice lingering taste.

Sweet and spicy with what tastes like a hint of sandalwood. This is one of those old fashioned English snuffs that reminds me of Gentlemen's clubs or Victorian London, just somehow not a modern flavour and all the better for it.
